What are the costs of your services?

Our services and their costs can be found here.

What areas do you serve?

Champaign, Urbana, Savoy. Areas outside of the service area map are considered on an individual basis and will incur a higher travel fee along with special scheduling.

Travel Fees:

  • Champaign $25
  • Urbana $25
  • Savoy $25
  • Sydney $40
  • St. Joseph $40
  • Mahomet $40

Travel Fees to additional areas incur additional fees and can be discussed on location. Travel fees are charged on a per-visit basis (not per animal).

Do you charge more than a traditional clinic?

Our prices are similar to any other traditional clinic with the exception of the travel fee. Less stress, convenience, and more personalized care are priceless.

How does a home visit work?
  1. If possible, owners should gather previous medical records from previous vet visits and email them to us prior to the visit.
  2. Prepare the area –perform exam anywhere in-home or outside. Depending on the weather; having a favorite toy or blanket nearby may help a pet stay calmer and relaxed.
  3. Notify us of any special requests –specific fears (don’t ring the doorbell, etc.) prior to our arrival
  4. On arrival, we will make friends and offer treats so the pet is more relaxed
  5. We will review the medical history and discuss any concerns the owner has.
  6. A full and thorough physical examination will be performed.
  7. After the exam, we will perform additional services (additional cost above exam fee) –vaccines, nail trim, heartworm test, fecal test, bloodwork, anal gland expression, etc.
  8. Final details –answer any remaining questions, fill any prescriptions or sign off for online pharmacy, final paperwork, invoice, and payment

Can my pet receive all the services provided by a traditional clinic?

HomeVet strives to provide top-quality care to you and your pet, but, as a mobile vet, we do have some limitations. We do not provide emergency services, X-rays, major surgery, or full dental procedures.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards –Visa/MasterCard/Amex/Discovery. For more information on our payment options, you can review our payment page here.

What if my pet needs medication?
We carry a small amount of medications in our mobile pharmacy for immediate, short-term use. The majority of medications will be scripted to a local pharmacy or can be ordered from our online pharmacy store for delivery directly to your home.
